How to pin someone's conversation on Snapchat and always have quick access to it

If you use Snapchat enough, your Chat page is probably swamped with all sorts of different conversations. And even if everyone you're chatting with is a friend, some conversations are definitely more important than others.

You can make sure you have quick access to your most important Snapchat conversations by pinning them. Here's how.

How to pin someone's chat on Snapchat

Pinning a conversation on Snapchat makes it so it will always appear at the top of your Chat page. Even if you haven't exchanged messages in over a year, a pinned chat will always stay there.

1. Open Snapchat and swipe right to open the Chat page.

2. Find the person who you want to pin and hold your finger down on their chat.

3. When a pop-up menu appears, tap Chat Settings and then Pin Conversation.

Their chat will move up to the top of the list, tagged with a thumbtack emoji. They won't receive any sort of notification about it. You can only have up to three conversations pinned at a time.

To take away someone's pin, hold your finger down on them again, select Chat Settings, and then Unpin Conversation.

Pinning someone only affects the Chat page. It doesn't change what order their Stories show up in, or whether they show up as a Recent contact when sending a Snap.
